Trace Adkins weds in ceremony officiated by Blake Shelton

Country music star Trace Adkins has tied the knot — and in true country fashion, the wedding was filled with music, laughter, and friendship. In a heartwarming ceremony that took place in an intimate outdoor setting, Adkins married actress Victoria Pratt, with longtime friend and fellow country icon Blake Shelton serving as the officiant.

The wedding, which took place on a sunny afternoon at a private venue in Tennessee, was described by guests as “beautiful, laid-back, and very Trace.” With the golden countryside as a backdrop, Adkins and Pratt exchanged vows in front of close friends, family, and a few select members of the country music community.

But the real surprise came when Blake Shelton walked out — not with a guitar, but with a Bible.

“Having Blake officiate meant a lot,” Adkins later said in an interview. “He’s like a brother to me, and there was no one else I could imagine standing up there leading the ceremony. Plus, he brought a little comedy to it, which is always needed when you’re wearing boots and saying ‘I do.’”

Shelton, known for his quick wit and charm, kept the tone light and personal, even poking fun at his own officiating skills. “I told Trace that if this music thing doesn’t work out for either of us, we could always start a wedding business,” Shelton joked to guests.

Trace Adkins, 6’6″ and towering in a classic black suit and cowboy boots, stood beside Pratt, who looked stunning in an elegant white gown with lace detail. The ceremony blended traditional elements with the couple’s shared love of country culture, featuring acoustic guitar performances and heartfelt personal vows.

This marks Adkins’ fourth marriage and his first since his high-profile divorce in 2015. Adkins and Pratt reportedly met while filming the 2019 western The Virginian, and sparks flew both on and off-screen. Friends close to the couple say their connection is “genuine, deep, and full of mutual respect.”

“She’s strong, smart, and she gets me,” Adkins said of his bride. “What more can a man ask for?”

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed a casual reception complete with southern comfort food, live music, and plenty of dancing. Adkins even took the mic for a surprise performance of “You’re Gonna Miss This,” which had guests both cheering and tearing up.

The wedding received an outpouring of love from fans on social media, especially after Adkins shared a photo of the moment with Shelton officiating, captioned simply: “Forever started with a friend.”

With a new chapter beginning both personally and professionally — including TV roles, a tour, and a continued presence in country music — Trace Adkins seems more grounded than ever.

“I’ve lived a lot of life,” he reflected. “But I’ve never been more sure of anything than I was standing up there with Victoria, with Blake smiling behind us. That’s the good stuff. That’s what it’s all about.”
